Oertel Metal Works, originally called Oertel Sheet Metal, was founded in 1988 by Billy Oertel. The small one-man shop focused primarily on architectural sheet metal jobs. In 1995, Ronald Bivens started the custom fabrication division at Oertel, which launched the vision of what it’s become today.
Oertel became a proud part of McCarthy-Bush Corporation in 2001, one of several businesses that make up the manufacturing division. Today, Oertel’s capabilities have expanded, boasting more than 50 employees in a (57,000) multi-thousand-square-foot facility in Davenport, IA.
